Generally those that shop online are willing to trade off service for better prices. Quality, however, is typically not an area that people are willing to sacrifice. Great news though, online vendors carry the exact same brands as the local companies and often at significantly reduced prices. Purchasing online is a great option for do-it-yourselfers. The benefit of purchasing online is of course a lower price, but you won’t be pushed toward certain products by a salesperson and often you have a much wider selection to choose from. The negative is that you don’t get to see what you’re purchasing before you buy it. Some local companies are quite good at providing decorating advise too, so you loose out on this as well. If you know what you want though, no harm, no foul. Just make sure to order a color swatch to verify that beautiful color on your computer monitor looks that great in your home.
There are many websites that provide reviews of online vendors such as Bizrate and Google. We also provide a guide here at BlindFinder.com to assist you in making the right choice. Want to purchase online? Please take a look at our guide to online blinds retailers.
