In today’s world, energy independence is a growing concern for many people. Window treatments greatly impact the efficiency of your home, but what if your curtains could actually generate power? Thanks to architect Sheila Kennedy, current from curtains may one day be a possibility. Her curtain design involves solar cells weaved directly into the fabric, which are then capable of providing power to a home much like roof-mounted solar panels. This innovation gives hope to those of us that are both energy- and design-conscious. Hopefully a reasonably priced implementation isn’t far off!
