Vertical blinds are a similar product that were popularized a couple decades ago. While these blinds carry a dated connotation, they are still the most popular choice for sliding glass doors. As the name suggests, the slats hang floor to ceiling (perpendicular to the direction of horizontal blinds). The slats are typically made of a vinyl or plastic material and in some cases may be made from fabric. Not much else can be said about these window coverings, except that, unless it is for a sliding door, most people avoid these blinds.
